The Dementia Clinic

The Dementia Clinic is now accepting customers. This new not-for-profit memory assessment service from Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove (Age UK WSBH), developed in partnership with Here, is designed to support individuals aged 65+ who are experiencing memory concerns by providing high-quality assessments and ongoing support.

What the Dementia Clinic offers:

  • Comprehensive memory assessments by experienced clinicians, including blood tests and scans if appropriate
  • Ongoing support from Age UK WSBH to help patients and families navigate the process
  • Flexible access – patients can self-refer or be referred by their GP

Who can access the service?

  • Aged 65+
  • Symptoms present for over 6 months
  • No history of a learning disability diagnosis

Exclusions


✘ Recent significant infection (within 3 months)
✘ Stroke (within 6 months)
✘ Significant head injury (within 12 months)
✘ Alcohol consumption above 14 units per week

How to refer patients

Patients can self-refer:
